Buckner Retirement Services acquired The Stayton at Museum Way for $81 million, becoming the seventh senior living community owned and operated by Buckner in Texas. Hyosung Americas, a provider of ATM hardware, software, and services, has opened a new distribution center in North Texas. The 125,104-square-foot facility, located near DFW Airport, is 66 percent larger than its previous facility. The CEO of Hyosung Americas, Kunoh Kim, emphasized the significance of this expansion in terms of innovation and growth for the company.
“This marks a significant milestone in Hyosung’s journey of innovation and growth,” Kim said. “With the opening of our expanded facility, we not only double our production capacity but also amplify our commitment to serving our customers with excellence.”
Currently, the distribution center employs 60 full-time employees, with plans to increase to approximately 100 in the next 12 to 24 months. The facility offers expanded ATM racking and storage, assembly, and production capabilities and serves as a parts distribution center, enhancing the customer experience for Hyosung’s partners nationwide. Last year, the company introduced a new retail cash recycling ATM called ‘Pivot.’
Buckner Retirement Services Acquires The Stayton at Museum Way for $81 Million
The Stayton at Museum Way, a senior living community in Fort Worth, has been acquired by nonprofit senior living provider Buckner Retirement Services. Renamed “The Stayton at Museum Way by Buckner,” it is the seventh senior living community owned and operated by Buckner in Texas.
“Our faith-based foundation drives our mission and makes us passionate about service excellence. We serve people from any religion or no religion at all,” Buckner Retirement Services President Charlie Wilson said. “We have worked long and hard in preparation for this acquisition. Our top priority is building relationships with The Stayton’s employees and residents, welcoming them to Buckner, and helping ensure the transition is a smooth and positive experience.”
The community offers a range of living options, including a rehabilitation center, 188 independent living units, 42 assisted living units, 20 memory care units, and 46 nursing units. It is an 11-story Life Care senior living community. Buckner Retirement Services, a faith-based nonprofit, is dedicated to providing to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
Unexpected Products, the parent company of Shaken Beverage Co. and Toucan Cocktails, is opening a new warehouse in the Farmers Branch Warehouse District. This 9,500-square-foot facility will house production and beverage incubation facilities, enabling the company to bring its innovative technology to the market.
With the aptly-named Toucan Cocktails, the company is pioneering a new beverage vertical. The product is a prefilled cocktail shaker with the top can containing bourbon, vodka, or tequila, while the bottom can is the mix for an old fashioned, margarita, or martini.
“This facility’s streamlined operations for Shaken Beverage Co. allow us to respond quickly to consumer demand from our robust nationwide e-commerce launch and Texas retail market launch of Toucan Cocktail later this summer,” Unexpected Products CEO John Dallager said. “Our capabilities create a beverage innovation one-stop shop for our own brands and others. Once fully operational, we will be able to produce 10,500 Toucan products per eight-hour shift or provide services to others to create up to 31,200 branded beverage cans per shift.”
Shaken Beverage Co. launched in late 2023 under the direction of Dallager and CMO Tatiana Chamorro, the founder of Hite Creative. “We are excited to welcome our current vendors, customers, investors, and partners into our space and look forward to being part of the vibrant Farmers Branch and DFW entrepreneurial communities,” Chamorro said. “Our goal is to literally shake up the beverage industry with our technology, capabilities, and team experience.”
Due’ Cucina, a popular Italian eatery known for its homemade pasta dishes, is expanding into DFW. Founded in 2017 by CEO Davide Macchi and Executive Chief Filippo Fiori, this marks the brand’s first venture outside of Washington state.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Due’ Cucina to Dallas, blending traditional Italian elegance and flavors with the speed of modern life,” Macchi said. “We serve Italian dishes made from the highest quality ingredients, imported directly from Italy or sourced locally and sustainably. Every dish is prepared from scratch daily, ensuring unparalleled taste,” said Fiori.
Scheduled to open in September 2024, Due’ Cucina will be located in the Lakewood Shopping Center in Dallas, offering indoor and outdoor dining options, aiming to provide high-quality meals to diners on the go, blending traditional Italian elegance and flavors with the speed of modern life in Dallas.
