After graduating from the University of Law at the Texas Institute of Technology, Chad West served as a legal secretary of Law Terry Livingston at the Texas Second District Court of Appeal and entered the legal world. Chad grew up on a farm in Southern Illinois, and then graduated from Washington University in St. Louis to be appointed Lieutenant of the United States Army. He served as a military officer in Hungary and Bosnia and after being promoted to captain, he served as a trainee and a corporate commander in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Chad, who received an honorable discharge from the army, attended Texas Institute of Technology Law School and graduated with honors. Chad is passionate about his community. He planned the first dash for the 5K van Lanz "Beads" in the Bishop Arts district and served as the Director of Education at the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
