Paul Zortan co-founded a refugee support network. He frequently presents "Silence is money," a community group that teaches immigration rights, based on the amendment of Articles 4 and 5 of the U.S. Constitution. He works for the American Immigration Law Lawyers Association as the coordinator of the Dallas Division and the liaison with the Houston Refugee Service. He chaired the Council of the 6A District Grivance Committee in Bar, Texas, the Advisory Committee of the International Rescue Committee, the Office of Dallas, the Board of Project Adelante and the Center for Survivors of Torture. He taught both immigration law and law writing and reasoning at the University of Texas in Dallas. He won the 2018 Lifetime Merit Award from the Dallas Attorney Association's Immigration Law Division for his argument. From the Dallas Peace and Justice Center, 2017, the Justice Exploration Award. She received the 2016 Louise Lagugio Women's Advocate Award for Legal Aid in Northwest Texas.

Paul Steven Zortan is the son of a refugee. He has been practicing the exclusive immigration law since 1992. One of the founders of the Refugee Support Network, Program & Amplifier; #39; I'm training volunteers at a professional asylum clinic. He worked as a liaison between the Houston Protection Office and the Texas Branch of the American Institute of Immigration Lawyers (AIRA) and attended many regional and international AILA meetings. He chaired the 6A Regional Complaint Committee in Bar, Texas, the board of directors of Proquito Aderante and the Center for Survivors of Torture. Zortan worked for an advisory panel at the International Rescue Committee's Dallas Office and made adjustments to the AILA Dallas Division for more than 10 years. He taught both immigration law and law writing and reasoning at the University of Texas in Dallas. In 2018, he received a lifetime achievement award from the Justice Department of the Dallas Bar Association.
