Teen arrested in fatal shooting of 17-year-old boy in east Oak Cliff, Dallas police say

The suspect, also 17, faces a murder charge in the death of Keymere McArthur, a football player from David W. Carter High School. The victim was found in a crashed car with two teens who had been shot and later died in a hospital. Police believe the teens were shot during a robbery.

A teenager was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy earlier this year in east Oak Cliff, Dallas police say.
The suspect, also a 17-year-old, faces a murder charge in the death of Keymere McCriston. Because of their age, the teen will not be identified by authorities.
Officers were dispatched shortly before 9 p.m. Feb. 25 to the 2700 block of Easter Avenue, near Sutter Street, where they found a crashed car with two teens who had been shot. According to police, McCriston was the driver.
McCriston, a David W. Carter High School football player, was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said.

The passenger was also taken to a hospital, but was treated and released.
Investigators believe the teens were shot during a robbery, police said.
